Plug It In EV Roadshow Kicks Off 2024 Tour in Grand Junction

The Plug It In EV Roadshow will kick off its four-stop spring tour at Grand Junction’s Lincoln Park on Sunday, April 21. The roadshow is a series of free family-friendly events where attendees can learn about electric vehicles in a hands-on setting.

The event starts at noon with an “EV 101” presentation in the Lincoln Park Barn, which will provide an introduction to EV features, charging, sales trends, cost of ownership, tax credits, environmental implications and more. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the action shifts to an informal “ride and drive” in the adjacent parking lot, where the EV-curious can test-drive new and used vehicles and e-bikes, chat with current EV owners and dealer reps, and get advice from area clean-energy nonprofits on how to take maximum advantage of tax credits and other incentives. The event will also feature food trucks and live music.

The Plug It In Roadshow is presented by Clean Energy Economy for the Region (CLEER), the Colorado Energy Office, Western Colorado Alliance, the Monarca Group and the Hispanic Affairs Project.
Additional Roadshow events are planned for Steamboat Springs on May 5, Eagle on May 19 and Carbondale on June 7. For more information, go to cleanenergyeconomy.net/plug-it-in.
